BANTU, which means “people” in over 500 languages across Africa, was chosen as the name to celebrate the essence of people, culture, and music.
Since our inception in October 2008, our focus has always been on bringing people together and creating a vibrant celebration. From developing concepts to organising events and throwing unforgettable parties, our ethos revolves around fostering connections and enjoyment.
Originally established as a Friday club and Afro social event, BANTU was born out of our passion for providing a regular gathering for individuals who share a love for Africa and a desire to learn more about the people, it’s diverse music, and rich culture. It is also open to anyone simply seeking a good time in a top-notch venue surrounded by friendly and fun-loving individuals. Today, BANTU continues to be London’s longest-running Afro Social Club, held on the first Saturday of every month.
Each BANTU event takes place in an exclusive and carefully selected venue, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. With up to four DJs on rotation and a dedicated hosting team, we prioritize the enjoyment and satisfaction of our patrons throughout the night. Our events attract a diverse range of individuals from various backgrounds. Every BANTU night features segments dedicated to showcasing a selection of African music, unmatched by any other event in London. Additionally, we offer a fantastic mix of Old Skool, as well as the latest hits in Hip Hop and R&B. We guarantee that you’ll be on the dance floor before you can even say, “It’s a vibe!”
